I wanted to pick up some new toys for my little ones since they dont really have none. But i need a few suggestions on what i should get. I need new toys for the parents also as they dont really have enough, so i think but my husband thinks otherwise LOL i just dont think a bird period can have "enough" toys LOL

If anyone has any ideas on what to get please let me know!!!

How old are the babies?

My lovebirds always loved shredding toys and preening toys. I had some very good ones that had wood, rope and plastic all in one toy. This let them do as much as they possibly could with the toys!!

Remember the 6 week rule. At this age, they would still be in the nest box if they were with their parents. Their biggest challenges right now are eating, growing and sleeping. At the 6 week mark, they come out of the nest and begin to learn about the world that surrounds them. Swings are always welcome in lovie cages!!! Small toys that you can put on the bottom that they can pick up and carry around work well, too.

For my weaning youngsters I put small things on the bottom, strips of paper and corn husk to chew and small beads in different shapes, even links with beads on them. Anything small they can put in their mouths is good. I also have a freestanding perch (homemade) that barely sits off the ground to help them learn to perch and gain coordination.
