disclaimer - i seriously don't have a double chin usually! i swear, it's just cuz my head was smushed down :rotfl

so i just got home from work, kath's sitting on me as i'm checking my email, and i squeak at her, and she squeaks back! cute, she's not done that before. so i keep it up, and she starts looking at me like she thinks there's another bird in my mouth.

then she makes this clucking noise, i haven't heard her do it before. you can hear her doing it toward the end of the movie. . .

I have a female Green Cheek Conure named Obi, who used to belong to a person named SnowboardMandy who used to participate on these boards.

Why am I bringing this up? Well, Kath's cage from hatch until she went home with you was right next to Obi's cage, and the noise Kath was making is EXACTLY the noise that Obi makes when she is being affectionate with her humans. Kath, Veronica (Kaths' sister) and Inigo (Kath's brother) all used to play with Obi and me as they all sat on my chest. It is funny that she is now doing it after all this time, but I swear, it is the very same noise that Obi makes.

aww, she's having little birdie memories? that's so cute! :happy: at least i know it's a happy noise and not an irritated noise. right after i posted she made a high-pitched trill noise that was totally new as well.

Haha.....maybe him and Pip are long lost brothers! Pip makes alot of cute sounds too, and will immitate them back to me if I do them to him. My favorite of all time is his little grunting sounds that he usually makes with a head bob.....if I bob my head to him, he'll also do that back. Every night when I tuck Pip in for the night and cover up his cage, I hear that little grunting noise......it's so cute how he does this EVERY night!
Kath is adorable! it looks in your video as if she's enjoying your little commucations between you and trying to immitate your kisses!

My Juanita makes that noise when I say, "Good-night, Juanita."

At night, around 8:00 P.M., they've been in bed for about an hour-and-a-half, and during my last tour of the birdie area I say good-night to them. Behind their cage covers, I hear Juanita's kisses.

that is a cute noise! hina makes a lot of cute noises, and one very similar to that... but we don't get that close to her becasue she is a viscious hen! lol My mom loves her though.

Pip doesn't usually bite hard.....mostly little nips, but from time to time he'll latch right on.....especially around his cage! The thing about Pip that is funny, is that I know he's biting gentler most of the time, knowing he can bite us harder, but choses not to....I know this because if I hold him against his will and bring him back to his cage, he won't even bite, but as we get closer to the cage he'll bite, and the closer we get the bites get harder! :rotfl

Sunshine grunts loves to do it as loud and deep in my ear as possible kinda gross sounding actually lol, all my birds give me goodnight peeps when i put them to sleep and tell them goodnight :D

Hi Dieflying, Sounds to me as though Kath's imitating your kissing noises, and your clicking at her. Make some more noises at her and I bet you'd be surprised to find that she'll try and imitate those too. Our Sweetpea does that- she's sometimes even looked as though she was trying to pucker up her beak and making a kissing motion as she responded to a kiss from me, and sometimes when she jumped on my finger before I kissed at her. They're great imitators.
