Rosellas are native to the Australia area and, yes, they are very pretty! You don't see them too often, and I'm not really sure why, other than the fact that they are not really good talkers.

If you look at the face, something about it reminds me of my tiels, so I'm not surprised this bird is from Australia. If it has the sweet nature of a tiel, I suspect this beautiful bird would make a great pet!

The person's description says the bird is larger than a tiel. He/she is also not tame or particulary friendly and won't step up. :(

I would think for a 10 year old he would be pretty much set in his ways, personality and behavioral-wise. I wonder how old they live to be?

He is absolutely stunning to look at, though! It's feathers remind me of a Peacock. :)

Very pretty Rosella! ... And here in the states they are quite rare to see. Strikes me odd though that the owners are deciding to successively rehome him after only three years. Lets hope he soon finds a permanent loving home.

May I request that y'all stop posting these birds from Massachusetts?!! Just kidding

Yes, he is beautiful.

I have a Canadian friend who breeds them. Hers which are not breeders are hand raised and friendly.

Lol, I see more Rosellas here at the pet stores than I would care to! Not many people seem interested in them, they are always hanging on their perches waiting to be bought...
