Kiwi has two cozy buddies in his cage, one he sleeps next to and one next to his play platform. Turns out he was chewing the play one to pieces, and i started getting worried that he would choke on it, get caught on it. So.......I took it out this morning, and boy is he pissed at me!!
He started screaming at me, like I have never heard before, lunging at me, which he's never done before. :omg: :omg:I took him out later, and boy did he yell at me - for quite some time. Geeeez - I was only thinking of his safety. Bad Mommy!!!:confused::(

Well, you took away his buddy. No wonder he's mad! :)
You could replace the chewed up one with a look-alike one. He might be happy and he might forgive you.

Every time I remove the Happy Hut from my boys' cage, Fenway gives me an earful!!!
"You had better put that back just right where you found it!!" :omg::omg:
I can remove toys, perches, food bowls, etc and not a peep...but if the happy Hut is touched I am told in NO uncertain terms just what might happen to me if it is not put back.:rofl:

It's funny, isn't it? how lovies "yell" at us! Pip does this too if we try to pick him up.....it's so obviously understandable that they are really yelling at us! This little bird is yelling at this BIG person! Yup, they are something when it comes to letting us know....HEY don't do that!! they are little experts at commucating that message!
Now that I read this.....I have been thinking of removing the cozy hut from Rudy's cage.....you know, the one he was afraid of when I first put it in? Well now it's his humping buddy and he's starting to regurgitate all over it! :omg: If I remove it, I hope I don't get yelled at too bad! Rudy is pretty mellow though, alot more laid back than Pip is and he's such a little sweetie!

pips mom - kiwi is one of the sweetest, cuddliest, most mellow lovies ever - i was totally shocked by the argument, and then lecture that he gave me. and you're right - it was so obviously a yelling he was giving me. i mean an in your face telling off!!! of course, at this very moment, he is humping my arm as i type - so i guess all is forgiven!!!:rofl:

Nope....nothing, not a peep! I took out Rudy's cozy hut today and he just sat there and watched and never made a peep! He's such a sweet little thing! I had to wash it....ewwww! How do you guys with gacking boy lovies clean this stuff? It's kinda disgusting and I had a hard time getting it off. I just had to take it out today when I saw him doing it and it looked like he was trying to eat it after?? Gross!!!! His cozy is out of cage now drying!
