After giving up on my nap, (see thread in Parrots & Other Birds), I decided to check in on Johari, currently housed in her toy stuffed, black cage in my overstuffed office. Only to discover I had forgotten to lock the door of her toy stuffed, black cage! NO JOHARI :omg: She is sooooo little and my office is sooooo cluttered, I wondered how I'd ever find her. "Well, Gussie, I didn't lock you up when you disturbed my nap, but you have to go home while I look for the escapee!" So I took Gussie to her big, white cage in the living room. Yep, you guessed it by now, I'm sure.

She's telling you she missed Gussie. :)

She is so sweeet.

Maybe she's missing Gussie...or maybe she's coveting Gussie's toys!

I'm amazed at the territory she covered. She had to traverse the office, come down the hall, past the bathroom, then cover the entire width of the living room and climb up to the cage, currently occupying almost the entire dining table...it's a pretty big cage...then climb into the cage and then up to the highest toy in the cage. I don't think my little bowlegged, wing clipped lovie is having significant mobility issues

Hmmm, maybe it's neither Gussie nor Gussie's toys that she has designs on. Maybe she thinks if Gussie has a BIG cage, she should have a big cage, too! She may tip the scales at 40 grams, but I'm getting the idea Johari thinks she's a BIG bird. Look out Gussie...there's a lovebird on the loose again! :rotfl

ahahahahah!!

"You lookin' at me?" --that's the expression I see on Johari's face. That's some impressive distance she covered... determined little hen! i love it. In my experiene all my lovies operate under the impression that they are BIG birds. lol

That's lovies for you! Amazing how fast they move.

One of the funniest things I've ever seen- only it could have had a not-so good ending had I not looked down when I did. My hubby was on his way out the door one day, with his briefcase trailing along behind him. One second our lovebird, Sweetpea, was in her cage (door open) happily munching on her birdy bread, and the next second, as my hubby was about half-way out the door, his briefcase almost out too, I looked down at it. There was Sweetpea, sitting on top of his briefcase, riding along as he pulled it. I guess she figured she was going to work with him- he hadn't even seen her! Good thing she's so tame, I reached down and grabbed her with both hands, told her she couldn't go to work with birddaddy!
