Pip just flew from the bird room where Ivy is, passed by Rudy who is with me in the living room, and came straight to me and is on my shoulder! He picked me to hang out with over the other birds, even his love Ivy! Awwww! Now Rudy is coming right over to me too to get to Pip! Rudy is still so scared of people, but I'm willing to bet that watching these guys with me will help alot!

Wait until he starts to buzz you--brushing you with his wings. That's when you know he's into you! Let's clip mom as we fly by. :)

Mine do this all the time. I feel lovie wings flick my head--sometimes my face--as they fly by. Naturally, I don't flinch when this happens; my friends who aren't bird-savy look like they're playing dodge-ball, which I wish they wouldn't do because the lovies have figured out the trajectory of their flight path based on a stationary object and if that object moves on them, I worry that the lovies may have trouble, but so far, they've recovered nicely. They hover, if necessary, to regain safety.

Pip, Pip, hurray! Lovie love. :)

Well.....remember, Pip is clipped! so he has limitted flight ability. He can fly all the way from one end of the house to the other! He gets far! but gets not alot of lift and will at times land on the floor. He has done that though when his flight feathers were growing out, not to me, but to my boyfriend. When I see Pip trying to get someplace that he can't, I always go over to help him get to the window or wherever.....he'll hop right onto my arm, shoulder, or head for a lift! He'll land on hands now, and not to seem to mind them much, as long as the hands aren't coming at him!

Tweet! Tweet! calling lovie taxi! LOL

I know how that works. When Juanita was clipped, I carried her everywhere. My whole day was spent carrying her here and there. We became close.

Now that she has Petey and her wings, we're not as close but I'm happy with the trade-off. She's a social creature so we spend enough time together during the day. She's so cute and pretty; it's impossible for me to ignore her, or Petey.
