In the morning I go to the cage and give Sticky and Bobble one or two sunflower seeds each, but in the last few months, Id say, Bobble has been looking for something, she will either run backwards and forwards on the floor like crazy of her cage or she'll crane her neck or hang off a perch/rope upside down stretching as far as she can looking for something, she'll pear over the bottom of the cage when Im knelt down too.

At first I thought she was after the sunflower seeds as they do love these and know that I have to kneel down to get them, but even when I was giving them to her she'd either drop it and carry on looking or eat it and then carry on looking! Every morning id say "what are you looking for Bobble?" but she'd ignore me!

Well, she was doing this again this morning, desperately craning her neck so I decided to get her out of the cage (bad news at 10 minutes before I have to leave for work, if Sticky gets out im doomed!)

She jumped straight onto me and down the night shirt I was wearing and just sat there peeking out of the gap between two of the buttons! (she loves being down my tops!)

So thats what shes been looking for! Mummy's top to go down! I wish I could have taken her to work in my t-shirt but she wouldnt have stayed in there all day!

She is in a bit of a nesty mood again lately so now I finally know what the little devil is after!

:D

Aw! That was so precious to read first thing this morning. Don't you just love it when they see us as a source for comfort?

Amazing how our fids have the ability to communicate with us and make us finally understand what they want! At least you have an answer. Hopefully, she won't view under your tops as a potential nesting site..... :omg:

Linda she does! She tidies the edges of the collars with her beak, sometimes shaking her head with the material in her beak and headbutts around in there! And chases Sticky away like she would if she was in her tube or any other enclosed area! If she cant get down the collar of any top im wearing she will force her way through with her head until I give up and let her in! :D

That is so cute, tidies the edges and forces her way in. I know just what you mean.

I'll say this to anyone who lets a hen into their tops--you are brave.

My Juanita will dive in and immediately try to enlarge the cavity by trying to go through my skin, into my chest!

Yes, well I do get a few nips when shes in there! And its even worse when she scuffs around with those sharp claws of hers on my chest!

LOL I know the feeling! By the end of the evening, my chest looks as if a rabid cat was in my shirt!
