It is so nice to be on a forum where I have never read the word "check the search function" or seen anyone imply that someone has asked a stupid question and where enthusiasm and pride in yor pets and wanting to care for them properly is appreciated.

I research what brands of food I feed my dogs, I actually measure my horses for saddles so they won't have sore backs. I make sure that my cats toys wont kill the dogs shold they accidentally get a hold of them etc. I catch so much flack for being a fanatic or running things into the ground. Most days I think the only "people" who understand the effort are the animals.

I look at it this way...they never chose domestication. I owe it to them to get it right. I've been on a lot of forums and I hope yo guys realize how unique you are. Of course, parrot types are unique as well so perhaps that accounts for some of it. :)

It's my own personal belief that there are no dumb or stupid questions when it comes to caring for any live creature. Each and everyone of us started the learning curve at the very bottom, and that includes me. No one knows everything and we are dead when we don't learn something new every day!

Search is always an option but if I'm going to start typing an explanation, it's just as easy for me to present an answer. Sometimes my brain will add something I've not mentioned previously and then everyone learns even more. :)

i don't mind telling and repeating myself either. you'll love it here. everyone is super nice and helpful. it's a smaller forum so it's more intimate.

That's exactly why I don't belong to my betta fish forums, literature forums, or any other ones anymore, for that matter.

It is so nice that people are treated with respect here. There's a truly excellent community spirit that Linda, the mods and admins, and the members in general have cultivated and its wonderful to be a part of it. The warm and open atmosphere is better for our education and better for our fids!

I also love how much fun this forum is.....some of the great stories, videos, and pics! We also have some great comedians here that always make me laugh! :rotfl I've been on other forums and will visit them from time to time, but this one always stays more active with great posts and questions, and everyone is kind and respectful. I have a place to go when I have concerns or questions with my bird's health, or notice anything strange....Linda is always here with a quick answer and the best advice!

That's no joke!I really don't know how Linda does it,but I sure appreciate all the care and dedication Linda and fellow members give to this board.I've recieved so much help here,I don't know what I would have done without this board that's for sure.
