Cats and birds don't mix (for a lot of reasons) Cabo really seems to seek attention from my youngest cat. He has now started to offer her seeds and he takes his litter (paper) and tries to give it to her????

I think (hope) that I have him in a place where they can't swap spit but why????? Why is my bird showering my cat with gifts??? It's very obvious that he is attempting to feed her. I am not sure about the paper. Nesting material?

The cat herself is strange. Very loving, a rescue as a tiny kitten, barely weaned. We still had to supplement kitten formula. One of our male dog rescues actually raised this cat like it was his own offspring. Every animal we have in our little zoo thinks she's the end all be all but now the bird????? Why??? This can't end well.................:(

:2cents: This must be cute, but cats are still cats, and I would never for a minute trust one with my birds. Cats are so quick that if the cat decided it wanted a Cabo snack it would be too late before you could do anything.

maybe cabo just sees the cat as a friend? my bird likes to run up and sit on our cats backs. i think she just likes the furry feel on her toesies. they usually ignore her or walk away. she's never tried to feed them, though.

It scares me to death to think what my evil  little kitties might have in store for my baby bird. I swear two of them are sitting in the corner plotting against him even as I type. Everyone is a bit jealous of him right now except for Buttercup. There's no way I could trust these cats with him. They are killers. You shold see the massacres that take place when the box turtles' live food gets loose.:omg: No, poor little Cabo can give up on close interaction with his cat.
