Taming a bird

what are some ways to tame a bird? my Fischers is still not tamed nor does it trust me... I talk to him constantly. Everytime I come near his cage he goes on the cage like he is scared and when he is outside the cage he will always move back or away from me. Once i put my hand out he runs away. I try to hold him and pet and talk to him but he moves his neck around and then bites me.

i would try not to touch him for now. continue to spend time by the cage, talking. it sounds stupid, but seriously try having your meals next to the cage. eating something near them sometimes helps them to see you as a flockmate who isnt interested in eating them. it really takes time, try to be patient!
