Why.......I've never heard of such a thing! ... Who in their right mind would enjoy the smell of a stinky parrot?................sniff
Say. Did ya's know that here at Lovebirdsplus there's supposed to be a secret "Poop flingers society". .. Probably just a sick rumor.

Hehe. We all do it!
What do your birds smell like?
I've gone through a pellet change since my favorite bird shop apparently started ripping people off... and my birds' scents change depending on how recently they've eaten. I have never seen birds switch so easily... the last time we tried zupreem pellets with Mum's birds, they had zero interest. Different flock, different preferences I suppose. These guys love 'em. Now they have around 25% zupreem fruities/TOP pellets... plus all the lafeber's goodies, which they all love.
As for their usual scents...
Our new baby Sayuri! She smells herby! She's my little herb bird. Almost like a fresh oregano but so much damper and sweeter. She is so tiny and sweet and loves to be held and touched. She's got a busy little beak, too. Another preen machine. There's no wondering why Benny is so enamored of her! Its wonderful watching her play and learn- everything is new and fresh and fun to her, and she's always been surrounding by people and birds who love her. Kokoro watches her and likes to fly onto her cage and chat with her. The beginnings of a friendship? Perhaps.
Benny smells like Maple candies, with a hint of husky yet gentle-smelling musk. It took me a while to put my finger on his scent, but once I did... I always think of those little maple candy figurines they sell in shops in Vermont and Quebec. A little Benny bird shaped one.
Freyja's feathers smell fresh and powdery and Odinn's scent if very similar but more musky, even milder musk than Ben's.
Kokoro smells like sticky rice and coconut milk. I can't keep my nose out of his feathers.

This is what I posted in response to a thread on that forum piece:
Akira (Lovie): dry: kind of a home grown veggie. Wet: wet dog. ...
Piggy ('keet): dry:weird; kind of fresh. wet: nasty, smelly sewer bird.
Still, I am glad I'm not the only one who has "huffed" a bird. It's so weird but still you're like, MORE MOREEEE.

Poor birds.....:(......Next thing we know, some of us will be chasing our fids around with a water bottle just to get a sniff!.......This could get serious!.......:omg:
