you're all going to think i'm such a dork, but i was just sitting here, watching tv when i looked down and saw my little cheeperface fluffed out on my lap.

kath is really not much of a person bird so it's always fun when she shows a little more trust!

i just took this video with my laptop camera, i didn't want to disturb her by reaching for my actual camera, so the quality isn't great.

aww! that's so cute! sunny doesn't relax that much... too much energy in that one. my first 2, Peachy & Koji used to do that though. love it!

I dunno - she sure looked like a mama's bird to me! She's come a long way from that independant-minded little bird you originally took home.

i agree with Eric - that is total trust in her fidma - allowing you to scritch her and rub her beak - so precious!!! :)

You're definitely not a dork by my standards...

if I had a vid camera of any sort you'd all be watching me scritch each of my birdies... every time!

Speaking of, Odinn let me scritch him for the first time since before I went to Florida last spring, yesterday. So, believe me, I understand!

thanks everyone! it was so exciting, then afterwards i was thinking 'man i'm silly. i bet this is commonplace for most people!' unfortunately right after i posted, i gracefully spilled half a can of coke on the bed next to me, so i had to disturb her cute sleepin'.

and the arm - i broke my elbow at the beginning of the month (snowboard accident) and had surgery about 2 weeks ago. it's in the splint until i can learn to use it again.

She is SOoo pretty!! Seems I'm in the same boat though with Halebopp....too much energy in mine for them ever to relax like that! Pip has just started to come to me a little more often now.....he'll go on my shoulder and if he's cozy enough (Kath looks like she's VERY cozy!) he might sit there a while and relax, but most of the time he's up to something.... chewing holes in my shirt, or preening(feels more like ripping out!) my hair!

How sweet is that!

My lovies are always on me, but never fall asleep on me. Gremaldo is too busy trying to get Jack to notice him, and Jack is too busy trying to hump me. LOL

Chino will fall asleep, but only sitting upright on me.

Nokomis just wants to tear holes in my shirt or the couch.

That is so sweet. I wish our birds would do that but they're always exploring and looking around. I'm jealous!
