Yep, I did happen to notice but I've seen it more than 3 times.

What surprised me was after seeing the movie, "The Birds" 10 times, I had not remembered the that two birds (that started it all) at the beginning were normal green peachies! I would have sworn they were yellow canaries.

Yeah! i noticed it... moulin rouge is one my fave movies... most movies i can't watch more than once, but that one i like enough to watch over every now & again... I remember when i noticed... because I was irritated that the bird noises did not match. Totally did not sound like lovies. lol

Now I have to convince my hubby to re-watch Moulin Rouge, even though it interrupts my Highlander marathon tonight :rotfl

I haven't seen that one in years... that sounds right though. I'll have the look out for that if I ever see it again.

OH NO! I forget how young many of you are. It truly is a classic (1963). Directed by Alfred Hitchcook of the "Psycho" fame. Horror at its best!

i've seen that movie, but didn't remember that it started with lovebirds... lol. i remember being scared, but did not make me feel about birds the way jaws did about the water. I remember being scared to bathe in the bathtub. hahahaha!

Whatever you do, DO NOT watch the film The Hills Have Eyes, ive never wanted to watch it because i hate horror movies as they are always so bad, predictble and not scary, was flicking channels one night and caught a bit of it, out of all the movie i could have stumbled across it on i got the bit involving Lovebirds! Even though it isnt real and the birds in the movie would have been looked after in real life i still couldnt stop thinking about it for a few days after! :(

Ive seen Moulin Rouge but hadnt noticed the Lovebirds :)

 Janie - I had the same thoughts! I guess we're showing our age. :)

When I watch some of those old movies now it makes me think of how far they have come with making movies better than they used to be. But, Alfred Hitchcock did know how to scare me back then.

I remember how scared I was of birds after I saw "The Birds" on TV. It was all I could do to go outside to feed my cows with the flocks of starlings and blackbirds in the trees and on the power lines. And, the magpies really creeped me out too!
