It was a gut feeling from the beginning, that she was a girl....if it had come back 'male', we just would've gone with Abbott lol

Congrats, Kim!
Sometimes our hunches are correct; other times they are not. When Alex came to live with me, I thought I had a male and I was waiting for horomones to kick in. This happens between ages 7-8. Thank goodness I chose a unisex name. About 6 months ago, I ran my hand down Alex's back, just like I usually do, and she began to cluck in a soliciting manner..... So much for my male BFA! Alex became Alexis! :) Actually, I'm glad, as I was not looking forward to those hormonal times when I would have had to protect all body parts from possible destruction at the beak of a male Zon.

Abbey looks like a real sweetie and I love her name!

Woohoooo! Congrats on the "new" baby Girlie; Kim !!!! Even if she was a boy, she still is darn cute.

It's funny about the sexing issue. Ripley, our Senegal, was called a female from the moment his previous owners got him in 1997. The day he arrived at our house, we took one look and said male. The vet agreed. I found out what a hormonal bite from a Senegal can do.....OWWWWWWW!

Congratulations it's a girl :D :D :D :D

I saw two baby gcc today at the petstore. They are tiny little things. I'm sure they grow but that beak is nowhere as intimidating as Cookies full grown beak

MJ: Cookie, our Meyer's, hasn't gotten me yet and I don't look forward to the time when he does. He lunged so hard today I actually put him in his cage and covered him in time out for a full 8 minutes. If he would have made contact there would no doubt have been blood.
