You all know we have recently adopted Kenya (one day I will post more pictures when she is not frightened nearly to death by the camera!:omg:). Cabo is earnestly trying to help her acclimate to humans. He will hop in and out of her cage, look back at her and call to her, then climb me and start preening and kissing me. Then he will hop back to her open cage, chirp to her and show her the process again and again and again. Cabo positively HATES sunflower seeds. This evening he ventured into her cage and I fed him a few small seeds through the bars. I then offered Kenya a sunflower seed (which she loves) through the bars and of course she flipped out. Cabo took the seed, cracked it and CARRIED it to her. He came back to the perch closest to me, I gave him a few treats, then offered another sunflower seed which he cracked and took to her. I don't know how much harder a little bird can try. It made me cry.
