Darkness= love

Martha and I have been hiding in the dark and whenever I do this she always gets as close as she can to me and kisses me on the cheeks. She acts as if she is afraid I am going to leave her alone. :p Has anyone ever done this before?

Hi Taylor;

Martha might be a little scared in the dark. Many birds don't see terribly well, and she is probably snuggling up to you for reassurance. A small light would probably help her feel more secure.

Yes that must be it. It kind of feels good that I have a baby who loves me. :D. I will have to buy one of those plug in night lights for her. :)

Oh yes, do get Martha a night light, Taylor. You can probably pick one up for a dollar or two. I always leave one on at night for my birds. I do cover Oliver's cage (not the other two) but I keep one side opened and a night light on.
