What fun is a playgym for a bird if they aren't allowed to chew on it?

I'd way rather have my birds munching on their playgym than the woodwork or furniture! :rofl:

Parrots chew, so if we don't give them acceptable things to chew on they will definitely find something else, and you may not like their choice!

That would be a nice portable playgym for those of you who take your birds with you when you travel. I'm thinking the birds would be sitting up on the case instead of on the perches though because it's the highest area and they always want to be on top.

No Doubt about the furniture! I have solid pine dining chairs. There is no finish on them at all and of course they are a favorite perching site. I now have one big gnawed area on the back of one of the chairs! I live in a log house and I just know he's gonna chew it down one day! :D

Chris and I may try to build and expanded version so its big enough for Koko, to hang in the living room. What a neat idea! A gym that can fold up into the cabinet!

Definitely wood playgyms here for them to chew on! I make sure to supply them with lots of wooden things to chew, and even when I do, Pip still prefers the windowsills!!!!

Dave put a board for the birds to chew instead of a window sill. :rofl: Now they can chew and poop all they want!!!
