I love this site! I am learning so much from just reading. As I read there are things I am finding that I would like to ask questions on. And some photos that are of gorgeous birds that I would like to ask what type they are. Some of the threads are older so they have been closed. How can I comment, ask questions or reply on if a particular thread has been closed? Copy & paste the thread into a new thread or is there a better way? I don't think you can copy & paste a photo can you? Never done it. Guess you could paste the link to the photo. Thanks

What you need to do is start a new thread and copy/paste the link to the old one that's been closed. We have an add-on in place that will automatically close threads that are over a certain amount of time old, simply because replying to older threads got to be very confusing but links to those threads will leave them closed but we can still reference the thread you are talking about. Closing old threads is very common in many of the discussion boards. :)

Glad to hear that you are reading and picking up a lot of information that way! This site is literally the equivalent of an somewhat organized online book.

So, you say copy & paste the link to the old one into a new one I start. Ok....where or what do you consider to be the link on the threads? Or should I just copy & paste the whole statement in question?

Copy/paste the address that is in the address bar at the top of the page. That will bring up the location of the message where you have a question or a comment and we can go from there.
