Ditto usually leaves a lot of crumbs from his nutriberries and avicakes in his bowl. So, I decided to try a sneaky experiment. Since his treat cup was empty (he ate all the pumpkin seeds I put in there yesterday), I decided to put the crumbs in there. So far it worked. He went over to it as soon as I put it in and chowed down.
I wonder how long I'll be able to get away with it until he figures out my little deceit?

Well it's still working. He's over eating the crumbs now for his bedtime snack.

Dave,
He probably just thinks this is a new kinda treat :lol
That was my plan.
He doesn't seem to have caught on yet. Just like the crumbs out of the el-paso nutriberry bag that made it into the birdy bread. ;)
Shhhh, don't tell him.

Ditto probably thinks he's got you working extra hard to make him some bite sized servings there Dave.....I'd say he's feeling pretty special.

Well whatever the reason, it's still working. He always goes over to that bowl for his snack right before bedtime and last night was no exception.

Well tonight, it was Ditto's turn to be sneaky. We were watching tv on the couch like usual. And he decided to fly back to his cage to beat up on one of his toys that must have been up to no good.
So after a few minutes of that he came flying back and landed on my head. I thought nothing of it until I heard crunching and an avicake went rolling down my face.
Dittobird! My head is not a plate! :lol

He usually preens my hair. Which is what I thought he was doing until I heard the crunching.
If I would have had my mouth open I would have eaten the avi-cake.

He's on to me. He was with me in the kitchen when I put the crumbs in the bowl. After I put the bowl back in the cage he hopped in and ate 'em anyway.
