I went to the health food store today to get some neem cream for Frodo (my little feather plucker); they didn't have the cream available but did have small bottles of neem oil. Does anyone know if the oil would be safe to use on her skin? I'm hoping it would have the same effect as the cream, but wanted to check first and be sure it was safe.

(We also picked up some nice fat organic raisins- Frodo is loving those and Scoots just seems to enjoy smushing them everywhere! Silly birdies, now both are all sticky).

Neem oil is actually too strong for what you want to do. Check online and see if you can find some Neem Cream.

However, you did not waste your money. Mixed with water and some castile type soap, you've got yourself a wonderful pesticide that you can spray on plants. It will kill any kind of insect that actually EATS the leaves, stems or any plant part. It must be ingested.

Google "Neem Pesticide" and there are instructions on how to do it and what it will and won't kill.

Thanks Linda! I'm glad I checked first!
