Well, since I keep him out more than in his cage,he started behaving real bad when it's time to go in to the cage.At least before he'd step up and somehow in few tries I'd put him in...Now-he doesn't even want to step up,and to put him in a cage is MISSION IMPOSSIBLE!!!>:
I tried with treats,with nice words,easy,I tried everything and anything,IT DOESN'T WORK!!!
As soon as I put him in front to the cage's door-he flies away...and today I couldn't go out to the store because I cannot cacth him.I MEAN-I CAN,HE WILL STILL STEP UP(but I have to mention-not as before)BUT WHEN HE SEES WHERE HE'S GOING HE'S OUT OF MY HAND...It really made me mad today, totally.
Anybody with any suggestions??? How to put him into the cage???
Also, for some reason, they are so extremely loud today,I need break,so the only quiet time is when they are in their cages...HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I mean help in general...how to make him go to the cage???

Ok, with this type of thing a wing clipping would really need to be in order, or else (the wing clipping would be best) you would have to force handle him meaning grabbing him in a towel and putting him in the cage. The only problem with that is that after a while your lovie will start to figure out that when you grab the towel its a bad thing, I used to have to do this with Icetalon to get her home but now when she sees that towel she will yell and fly around the room and do everything in her power to get away. But lucky for me the getting away means running into her cage, but you may not be as lucky with that. So it would be best to have Blue clipped. But its worth a try using the towel.

Well clipping is on the way,I just cannot get a ride from nobody..so that is why it hasn't been done yet! So at this point, when Blue is fully flighted, towel doesn't work!!
First,he's on the windows and I can hardly reach there, not to mention I have to carry little chair to step on so he can step up,by the time I get of the chair,he's at another window :)
How did you clip Icetalon? Is she/he able to fly at all or just a little? And how do you catch her with towel actually-do you drop towel on her and pick her up with it or????
I am thinking-even when you clip them,if they are able to fly, they fly away..maybe they cannot fly up onto windows but they can fly from place to place anyway...Are they slower when flying when clipped too?? Blue is flying fast now...

Ok well I don't have Icetalon clipped she is fully flightened. I have had her clipped twice and one of my friends mom is a vet and she did it for free. But because she is splayed legged she has a lot of trouble walking around so I decied to let her be flightened. When I used the towel I would get her to step up and then grab her with my other hand with the towel then carry her in the towel and put her in the cage. If they are clipped only alittle it is just to slow them down and they won't be able to get up as high, and if they are clipped all the way the can't fly. If you aren't able to take her to the vet I know in Ohio their are several vets in the phone book that will come to your home, that seem to actually be cheaper then going to the vet. (Im not sure if their are any in your area though)

I have a place that is actually near by-15 min by car(it's a private bird shop and they do clippings and nails and everything) but the thing is that my father will take me,but for some reason he needs to stay at work till late for past two weeks that we can't ever go...So every day I am hoping he'll come early but didn't happened yet.If he's home at 4,5-that's no problem! As far as towel, haha,if Blue sees me holding a towel,he wouldn't even step up,because he hates towely things(I noticed that earlier when I was cleaning with one around him couple of times)The only thing that may help, would be cozy-but if he is in there,tu kinda close one side with my hand and put the other side where opening for cage is,so he can just go in,but I am affraid that he;ll get use to it and won't like to go into cozy any more :)))
And then,he's in there only when he is sleepy, not otherwise...
