Found a baby lovebird...

Hello from Greece!

I have just found a baby lovebird on the top of the cage of mine 2 lovies.
It seems healthy. I would like to ask what its age might be (perhaps a possible range), given that its beak has still some black color.

What a cute young lovebird! Hopefully it landed where it will be well cared for if you can't find its owners.

This lovebird is about 3 months old. The dark coloring on the beak is fading but there's no evidence yet of adult coloring. All the dark color will be gone by age 3.5 months and the first molt starts at age 4 months.

Your new guest is also a hybrid. It looks like one parent was Peachfaced, while the other was most likely a Masked, possibly a Fischer's. This kind of hybrid does not have the ability to reproduce so you will not have to worry about babies should you decide to keep it and give it a mate.
