We always feel a bit sad and anxious when one of our babies goes to a new home even though we know they will be happy there after they adjust to the new surroundings. Then our birds have more babies and we have the joy of baby birds all over again!

Even after all the years that I've been breeding, I miss the little ones (and adults when I find homes for selected one), too! Yes, I have a lot of birds but I can tell you how many should be in each cage and who they are. As I check each and every one every day, I can also tell you when behavior is not quite right or something looks amiss.

Congratulations on finding new, loving, forever homes for your little ones. This is a good thing. :)

That's why I could never breed parrots. I'd have 'em packed to the rafters. :omg:

Doing Bird Rescue & Re-homing, I sometimes get very attached to my little ones, especially if I have to nurse them along. But, knowing they are going to good homes keeps me happy. And there are some that I visit occasionally. I agree that if I bred these guys, I'd have more than I could handle. I hate giving them up, except there are so many that need our help, that I know soon enough, I'll have more.
