So my little birdy is giving me some problems. She will try and attack anything that comes near her cage....but when you put your hand in there she hops on her perch jumps on your finger and then flys to your shoulders. she will sit there on your shoulders for awhile but if you go to touch her she tries to attack your fingers.
My question is how do i get her past the attacking of my fingers? Im glad that i can get her to sit on my shoulder but if i go anywhere near her with my fingers she tries to bite me....is there anything i can do?

Most lovebird hens are territorial when it comes to their cages! That is HER home and you are a potential intruder!!! Put yourself in her place and how would you view a stranger coming near your home????? Let her come out on her own and that should solve the problem. It's not likely that you will be able to modify her cage protectiveness. :)
As for biting your hand/fingers when she's on your shoulder, you are asking her to step up onto your finger/hand and she's perfectly content being where she's at. Birds tend to bite when you ask them to do something they don't want to do or aren't ready to do just yet. Shoulders are usually considered dominant places, as it's hard to see what your bird is doing and equally as hard, sometimes, to get them off your shoulder. If she likes treats, you should be able to entice her onto your hand by offering one.
