Sorry I haven't been around much. As some of you know, my ongoing health problems have become considerably more troublesome of late, so I have not been able to post and answer posts as often as I would like to.
The birds are doing great. I know my health problems are stressful to the entire flock, but they keep me happy! Frey and Odie are thriving! They have been using words more and more- not the way that Kokoro does and Benny does, and they have small (but slowly growing!) vocabularies. When Chris and I talk to them, they will occasionally answer us with a word or two.
Chris: "Do you want to go home or stay out?"
Frey: "Stay!"
Odie says "Hi Mummy" "Hi Daddy" "Hi Koko! "Hi Granny!"
Me: "I've got something for you!"
Lovies: "Treats!"
It used to be only very, VERY seldom but they've been doing it more and more often lately. We've got to get a video recorder with audio up and running! Its just so adorable.
The only one who hasn't been as talkative, at least to the rest of the flock- is Benny. Benny lives in a Sweetheart-sweetheart world, and he and Sayuri talk to each other (well all Sayuri says is "Benny Sweetheart") but Benny hasn't been talking to us human people or to Kokoro anymore and Kokoro is lonesome for his conversations with Benny bird.
