my bird won't stop eating!

My bird will not stop eating!!! I have never seen him eat this much and it has been going on for days. He lost his partner about 5 days ago, and other than over eating, the past 2 days he has been completely normal again. So, I am not sure if the 2 are related?? It's all healthy food (golden feast mix, tops pellets, fresh fruits and veggies). He is still flying around and singing. Should I be worried?

Has the temperature in your home gotten cooler? Birds need more food when it's cold so they can produce energy to keep themselves warm.

Nope. In fact, it's been a couple degrees warmer..
