I have been spending a lot of time looking for names for my new little buddy.

I just can't seem to find one I really like.

My husband is all about the name "Deuce", but I'm just not really digging it too much.

I love the name Cullen but can't seem to get my husband on board with it.

It seems he prefers manly names over sweet names like Peaches. I also like the name Camou.....like camouflage because I put a camouflage scarf around my neck when he's sitting there.

If anyone could give me some suggestions on his name....

I want it to be kind of unique but easy to pronounce. I really like names that end in 'y'. It rolls off the tongue a little easier.

I've had him for 3 days, and nothing seems to be coming to me. HELP!

I'm not promising I'll name him anything you suggest, but I might find one I absolutely love. THANK YOU!

I'm horrible with names so I usually leave that honor to my oldest daughter. She's come up with some pretty unique ones.

You may have to wait a little while and see if you can match a name with his personality. I have a Green Pied named Peaches and he's just my sweetest senior citizen. One of my odd names is an Orangefaced Green Peachie named BB. The initials stand for bag bird, as he spent the first 4 months of his life wanting to sleep in the canvas bag that I used to transport him from home to work when I was hand feeding him. The minute he would see that bag, he would make a beeline straight for it and couldn't climb in fast enough! :lol

Yea, Linda....I might just have to wait a little to see what his personality is like.

I like Kirby....for some reason it made me think of Yoshi off of Mario Brothers...

After I get a few suggestions that I really like I'm gonna add a poll and maybe pick that way.

When I first got Rudy, what I did was go through names....there are lists online of pet and bird names, just google it! then go through the names and pick a few that you like. I picked three and then listed them here and everyone voted and the name that got the most votes won! and Rudy it was! and the best part is that the name seems to suit him

I like Yoshi. I also like Sushi but I'm wierd. Keep in mind that birds live a LONG time so you probably don't want to pick anything too trendy. Make sure it's something you don't mind saying for the next dozen years or more.

Have you checked out any baby name websites? This one had a lot of fun ideas. http://nameberry.com/

I had a REALLY hard time coming up with a name for Milo. He ended up choosing his own name. He was standing on my shoulder and I was trying out different names on him. When I said "Milo" he turned and looked at me as if to say, "What?" So that's his name.

His mate is Lily, she's yellow and white like a lily. That was easier.

I also have a Maggie May and a Mia Bella but they are not birds. Maggie was originally my mom's dog, so I didn't have final say in her name. As for the cat, she looked like a Mia so that's her name. Actually that's not her name. She is registered as Bordeaux's Penny 4Your Thoughts. But I just call her Mia or Mimi or Moose.

The cat is a purebred and the daughter of a grand champion. Her paperwork came with a list of rules a mile long. Her registered name includes her breeder's name and her parents' lineage. All of this pretentiousness for a creature that answers to "Moose." :rotfl

I just like the name Yoshi because I love the game Mario Brother's. I am not one hundred percent sure this will be his name but it seems to fit him well so far. I'm still open if I find a name that fits him better. I'm gonna check out that link. Something might just pop up that fits. Thanks
