They are gorgeous birds, that's for sure! I hadn't realized they had the crown of feathers until I received my Bird Talk this month.

In the Winged Wisdom article it says they are aggressive and territorial. I am wondering if that is just to other hawk heads in their territory or if they would fight with other species of parrots also. It didn't clarify that in the article. If they are, it could pose a serious problem in a home environment where there are other parrot species.

It does sound as if they can be very affectionate pets who would also be happy on their own and not require incessant attantion. That would be ideal for many people who need to be away during the daytime.

They are soooooooooooo pretty!!!
