well, since evie has been sick and she's not as active as usual, it makes me sad to see that Pan (who is her mate for those who don't know my flock), has taken a liking to Hermes (obviously, Chomper, her mate does not like that). Now, don't get me wrong, Pan still loves Evie. he doesn't chase her away or attack her or anything. they get along great and he still fights w/ hermes and will protect evie, but i did just catch hermes and pan trying to "kiss" much to the distress of chomp man. evie doesn't seem to mind, but i sure hope pan doesn't continue to stray too much cuz she needs him. i can't see hermes liking pan, but you never know. she is curious about him. and the thing is that hermes and evie are sisters! real blood sisters!
well, at least for now, hermes still prefers her devoted man and Pan still cares about evie. Pan flies to evie when she chirps and takes real good care of her. it's rare to see them fight (after all those early months of her beating him up before she fell for him).
i wonder if pan senses that she's sick so he sees hermes as "healthier stock"? i don't know, that's just my theory. it's hard too cuz when they're all out, evie can't fly around w/ them so pan joins the flock and in doing so, he ends up following hermes and chompers around a lot more. but when i do put evie on the curtain rod or a certain toy or area, pan will come to her and stay by her side and protect her from a dozen other nosy lovebirds.
