Has anyone noticed that lovebirds "hum"?

At least, mine does. If I put my ear up against her I can hear and feel a low vibration. Does anyone know what this is? A really fast heartbeat? Muscle contractions?

This question actually just came up on the forum recently, lovebirds when very happy will vibrate, thier whole body will vibrate think of it as a lovebird purr :)

Lol, well if that's the case then Darwin must be happy all the time.
When they "purr," can you see their body physically vibrating? Because when she's making this sound, she's not physically shaking (in the way that a baby bird will in anticipation of food). It seems almost like it's a bodily function since I've never caught her not doing it.

SHivering and shakeing is when they are cold or sick all poofed up...vibrateing is different they look normal but when you kiss thier belly or where your choice of kiss spots is youll feel the vibration :)

Sunnybird vibrates like mad when she comes out... mostly around my DH, less so for me. I haven't been the favorite for a couple years at least... lol
