Taking the long way 'round...

Ditto never seems to do things the easy way. His food and water bowls are right next to each other and about 6 inches apart. It would be real easy to just hop/climb over from the food dish to the water for a drink. Do you think he does that? Nope. He's got to climb all the way up to the top of the boing (food and water are halfway down the side of the cage), then ring his bell, hop to the triangle rope swing, then hop over to his java branch and walk to the back of the cage and out on the other part of the y shaped branch. After that he climbs/slides down the vertical bars on the back until he reaches the water.

And to get back to the food..... Reverse the trip to the water. :rofl: The trip to the pellet bowl which is on the other side of the cage is even more of a journey.:omg:

Sounds like Ditto and Echo just might be related! Echo is definitely food driven/motivated and to watch his antics is hysterical!

hes just showing how much smarter and in better shape he is compaired to you! you know lovebirds like to lord and gloat over thier slaves hence the all knowing one eyed head tiled stare lol reminds me of thos familey circus cartoons with all the ------ lol

Just saw him make an even more round about trip to the food dish. He was stting on a branch in the back-center of the cage. It would have been a simple hop to the java branch, one more hop to the other half of the y shaped branch and a step onto the food bowl. the food bowl is currently in the middle of the right side of the cage up near the top.

Did he do that? No of course not, that's too easy, he climbed down the branch he was on to the left corner of the cage (ducking under the knotrageous toy to get there) Hopped accrossthe millet holder to a branch in the front left of the cage, hopped about a foot and a half to the boing, did a zig-zag hop up the inside of the boing to get to the level of the food bowl, then make a 6 inch jump to the food.

That's exactly what Gigi does! He just takes the harder way up and down. He could easily go from perch to perch, or take his ladder up. Instead he enjoys climbing up the corner of the cage, then squeezing himself between the water bowl and cage side. Just to get to the top perch with the fuzzy corner mind you.
