Little blackbird chick

Hi ,
I take care of a little blackbird chick at the moment . Someone found it sitting on the ground with just one eye. Do you think a one-eyed blackbird can survive in the wilderness ?

Ordinarily, wild baby birds can be rehabilitated and released back into the wild but only one eye is a huge handicap. Where you live, can you legally keep wild birds or do you have to turn them into a sanctuary?

Hi Linda ,
I know someone in a forum who keeps blackbirds here in Germany , I'll ask her .
That's sad that I can't release the bird into the wild :(
