It is the 2nd anniversary of Buddy's passing & I'm having a hard time. Maybe it's masochistic to come here today...I rarely come here any more because it hurts too much to see/think about lovies when there are none in my home....But I just had to see some lovie pictures today, & brouse through my Buddy posts. I miss her so much. Gussie is fine, and wonderful and I love her to bits. But she isn't my Buddy. Nobirdie will ever replace her in my heart. I love you, Buddy...

I completely understand, Maureen. I had that kind of bond with Miracle. Know that I have at least several lovies, male or female, that would probably love to go live with you if you are interested. :)

Really???? I'm tempted, sorely tempted. I do so miss having a lovie. Every time I see a picture of Maya's Mika I get a lump in my throat. Let me think on this a bit.....

Oh...Maurene...Buddy.....:(.... When I finally lost my last cat Tootsie, I swore never to keep another pet again. .. Wouldn't you know it though, I now keep two lovebirds. ... Its going to be even more difficult now. .. Even so, the look in their eye's tells me the joy of having them is well worth the perserverance.

Prayers for you and Buddy....and Gussie too.

These little guys can sure grab a hold of your heart can't they? I remember how heartbreaking it was when you lost Buddy and I know it's a pain that doesn't go away quickly either. I'll be thinking of you and sending hugs and wingflaps (((Hugs))) Maureen

Hugs for you Maureen! I remember your posts about Buddy and your pain when you lost her. Buddy was such a special lovie! It is so hard to lose our precious fids and anniversaries of their passing are so painful :very_sad:

Maybe the time is almost right for you to take Linda up on her offer? I hope you are able to give it some serious consideration. Of course, no birdie will ever replace Buddy but maybe a new lovie will add a new kind of joy to your life.
