Holiday stress?

Hi All

I have just returned from a weeks vacation. My mother in law has been staying in our house looking after the birds. I came home today to find that they have chewed to bits the perches in the cage. They have also lost some colour is this due to stress ? or because we went on holiday?

If your birds are used to being out of their cages and they've been locked up more than usual, it's quite possible that that's how they dealt with the stress. Change in routine can have profound effects on our feathered companions.
