so today i went to go look at my dutch blue lovie...
and i found this?

i dont know what the orange cheek is but hes not a dutch blue. hes a seagreen (hes got a two toned beak)

hopefully its not a health risk is it on both sides and did he have it before?
does he have an orange mineral block?

oh okay. no actually i do have a toy that has orange paint, perhaps it rubbed off ?
she didn't have it yesterday, or earlier this morning too .

sounds like thats what happened then :)

my two have green mineral blocks so they get green faces sometimes

and one of my tiels rubbed her wing on a red toy so shes coloured now til she molts lol

Yep. Probably coloring from a toy. Ditto about gave me a heart attack a couple of times that way.

I looked at him and he had bright red (blood red) streaks above both eyes. :omg: Couldn't find any injuries and he was fine... hmmmmmm

Next week instead of red the streaks were blue... Then about a week later I caught him in the act. He took a bath and got good and wet, then rubbed his head on one of his toys that just happened to have red, and blue colored wood blocks that were not quite as brightly colored as they used to be.:rofl:

One of our members had a GCC that turned purple too. took her awhile to figure out that it was a mineral block that she was rubbing against.
