we got a picture framed of our dixie and when we put it up he /she wont leave it alone , it is so funny to watch , but a friend has said to me that it would satop him interacting with us .
is this true ? dixie is 11 weeks old and has brought alot of smiles to my family since getting him/her ,
would like if someone could tell me if this is true , also he cant stand the colour RED , he goes crazy if you have a red top on or anything red , he wont go neer anything red in the house , i find this strange or is it a thing with birds ??????

Dixie might think that the lovebird in the picture is another bird instead of just an image. That's the attraction. I would either move it to a different room or remove it permanently. While it won't completely stop interaction with you, you also don't want him to bond with an image that isn't real. Mirrors are bad for lovebirds for this same reason.

It's not uncommon for some birds to dislike the color red. Some do, while others are more tolerant. Respect the reaction and tone down the red around Dixie.
