Nibbler!!

My lovebird Niko is about 8 or 9 weeks old, I have had him for a lil over a week now and he has started nibbling everything! Is this a possible sign that he will soon progress to biting? or is this a normal stage?

Niko is simply exploring his world. Birds use their beaks/tongues to check things out, as we use our hands to see what something feels like. Will it progress to biting? If you praise him for nibbling gently, he will learn that it's not necessary to apply too much pressure with his beak. Birds don't realize that too much pressure is painful for us so we have to gently guide them in the right direction. :)
