Hi! so I have been observing this behavior (I think this is behavioral??) for a couple of months now. Every since Angel reached sexual maturity he has been scratching his head with his foot whenever he is playing with his plastic toy ball. Angel will roll around with this ball and try to stand on top of it (which is so adorable lol) and do the "swish swish", but ever so often he pauses to scratch his head. I have noticed sometimes he will scratch his nose area and cause slight wetness on those feathers which exposes one or both nostrils.

Nothing else has changed...he is eating normally I have him on the natural zupreem pellets with fresh foods daily (Angel just loves his green peas!). He is drinking water normally, plays with Zazu just fine, is ever so talkative, and is sleeping 12 hours straight through the night like he always has and wakes up with lots of energy to greet the morning.

I'm not sure if I'm over reacting, but has anyone noticed this type of behavior while their lovie is playing?

When males do their matey thing, they make little clicking noises......if you are hearing this from him, then the head scratching is normal.........for some reason it makes them itch their heads.

Thank you for responding! Yes Angel does make that clicking noise...I call it a vibrating noise but clicking sounds more like it. I thought it was normal but it doesnt hurt to ask. Thanks again :-)
