Hello, long time no post... I have been busy for the past two months so I haven't had much time to post here, but as I am faced with what I believe is a potential dilemma I have reason to post again...
So next week I am buying a rainbow lorikeet, it is quite young, its weaned and ready to go to its forever home but I am worried for the main reason is that Sunny and Mango are very much velcro birdies and do not have much interaction with any other type of bird but themselves and I am wondering how I would introduce this new baby into our little feathery family without upsetting all three birds.
The new baby is hand raised, so s/he will be out of his/her cage once settled in and I am scared that my current babies will be jealous. I have never had to divide their out of cage time when I am at home and I am not even sure how to divide time between birds without feeling somewhat guilty. People who own multiple birds, I need your advice, how do you manage? :)
