Hubby and I woke up yesterday morning at 5:30am, to birds chirping. This is about 2 hours early for my birds so I got up to check things out. Once I was coherent enough to understand what was going on, I realized there was an extra chirp in the conversation somewhere. It was one of the smoke detectors making a short chirping noise to indicate the battery was dying. Every time the smoke detector chirped, M&M chirped in response to it.

Um, yeah, so hubby just replaced the batteries in every single smoke detector in this house. No more 5:30am wake up calls for us! :)

Ditto talks to my desk chair when it squeeks. Also wet sneakers on linoleum is loads of fun.

  Too funny!!

Piper loves to talk to his/her cozy. Just plays and plays and chirps and chirps all alone in the cage. Molly & Daisy just sit and watch and sometimes chirp back for Piper to be quiet. I'm sure they think "kids!" :D

Just be glad they don't mimic the sound! Ripley, our Senegal, is the master of mimicking and he's got that one in his repertoire of sounds.
