Do you mean they are draining the bottle by pressing their beaks or head against the tip and emptying the water? Or do you mean they are unfastening the bottle from the holder making the bottle drop to the cage bottom?
If they are draining the water from the bottle they are having fun taking a 'shower' and there isn't anything you can do.
If they are unhooking or unfastening the bottle from the holder you can try another type of bottle with a different mounting device. Some bottle holders are completely inside the cage while some the holder is outside the cage with only the drinking tube inside the cage.
Try searching Lixit pet water bottles and bird water bottles. There are many different types of bottles.
Lovebirds love water! And if your lovebirds figured out how to drain the water to have a bird bath there really is nothing much you can do other than go to water cups. I had plastic water cups with removeable snap on hoods which allowed them to dip up water just fine to drink but they couldn't jump in them to take a bath. It also prevented much of their 'poop soup' making as well as placing shredded paper in the cup.
Good Luck

I know what they're doing........they are knocking the water bottle down! The reason I know this is from experience!! :lol Pip always LOVED knocking stuff down! He used to go around the outside the tiel's cage and knock off anything he could.......food dishes, cuttlebone. I had to go out and get new food dishes that locked on and new cuttlebone holders that couldn't be unhooked by a mischeivous little beak!!! I guess you're going to have to find a new water bottle that will stay more securely attached to the cage.

Oh yeah, Ditto loves to make things fall too. Anything he can drop to the floor will go, and he'll stand there and watch it fall. The more noise it makes (or I make) the better! :rotfl:evil:
