I went to buy more nutriberries and avi-cakes today and petsmart only had one bag of Garden Veggie Nutriberries. They were also labled as clearance items and now their website lists them as online only items. He's not going to be happy since they're his second favorite food....

Well if I have to order them online you can bet it won't be from petsmart!>:

Hmm, I wonder if Petco is doing the same thing? That's where I get Gem's, and he would be pretty cheesed if he couldn't have his Sunny Orchard for breakfast... what is it about these berries that they love so much?

It's a good thing That Pet Place is only 25 miles away. I can have them shipped here in a day or two!

You know, i've noticed over the last couple years Petsmart has begun to limit their stock of bird supplies. At the Mentor store, pretty well all they carry in seed brands are Kaytee and Pretty Bird. Treats are limited to bulk containers, and their usually of the least desirable variety. I've also noticed a sharp decline in their stock of birds, the primary species they stock being finches, with an occasional conure tossed in every now and then. .. Honestly, I think its a good thing if they eventually faze out the avian dept, as they already have their hands full peddling cat and dog food. ..........

The problem is, they were the only place in town that had them.>:

Well, soon I think i'm going to start mail ordering treats and seed mixes myself, as even the local Bird Walk seems to be limiting certain brands. While the next pet supply is only about 15 miles away, add in the cost of fuel, and you now have a 3 lb bag of seed that costs $35.

Tell me about it. Fortunately the prices from That Pet Place is half of what petsmart charges. Shipping for 4 bags of nutriberries and 2 avi-cakes was $8.99. Even though That pet Place is only about 25 miles from my house, there's no way I could drive there and back for less than shipping (premium gas ain't cheap).

Check out the prices at The Bird Safe Store: http://www.birdsafestore.com/Lafeber_Parrot_Food_s/88.htm I've ordered from them before and I've always been pleased with their pricing and promptness with my orders.

They're cheaper than petsmart but that pet place has them for almost $1 less and shipping is almost $2 less. Plus since they're only 25 miles away and right next to the local fedex and ups hubs I sometimes get stuff from them by the next day even when using the standard 3-5 day shipping!

I'll have to check out some of their toys though. Can never have too many of those (or so says the Dittobird).

Crackers! Forget Petco, I'm using that website. A big tub of Nutriberries here is almost $30! And I have to drive almost 10 miles return to get it! Man, Gem is gonna be one spoiled little bird now!

Must be expensive to ship to Hawaii though.

Dittos berries shipped about 2 hours ago and should be here tomorrow!!!! It's good to be only 25 miles away! :clap

I'll take my chances on shipping. Traffic I horrible getting to and from the store and I would gladly pay a little extra to save the hassle. Besides, nothing is more important than keeping Gem happy and healthy right now.
