Hi, i need help..

I have a pair of lovebird... one of them is a confirm female becauseit had lay eggs before. The other im not aure...

I recently put a nestbox with a bit of nesting materials in the cage..

The 2 of them now spends most of the time in the nest box...the unconfirm bird would occassionally shread newspaper to bring into the nestbox..

What is the chance of him being a male? could it be both are females and both are helping out in building a nestbox?

Hard to say what the gender of the second lovebird is. You know you have at least one hen because she has laid eggs before. It's possible that you have two hens that happen to get along together in a nest box. I've had this before, and while it's not the most common occurence, it does happen. You will know the gender of the second lovebird if you find even one fertile egg in the box.
