This isn't new, she's been doing it for a month or so. When i take her out of her cage in the morning and few other times during the day she will rush at me then nip my chin or sometimes lip. She makes a sharp peep and then rushes. Within a couple mins after that she is all sweet and preening with me or sitting in my hand waiting for head scritches... What up with that?? thank in advance,

Sounds like something she's learned to get your attention. Sometimes nips/bites are methods of trying to warn us about something they see as dangerous or threatening, even though we may not see things the same way. Can you correlate this with anything else that might be going on at the same time? Sharp chirps are attention getters.

i'm guessing the morning nips are in reguard to me leaving her all night and she's giving me he** for leaving her so long, lol. the rest of the time it's kinda the same deal leaving the room to long, not going to get her off her play area when she wants off. I know she's very jealous of my beagle when i spend time with her and she gets noisy then too. I'm not sure she considers mollie danger becuase i've heard that sharp chirp when she sees something outside... like a stray cat etc., so i was thinking just impatient with me? She is also gently starting to nibble my fingers when she wants the head scritches. I kept thinking her "beaking stage" was done but now i'm not so sure....

Sounds like you are reading her correctly. :) The chirps for different things outside are to let you know that something's different and you need to know about it.

In Lacey's mind, she's grooming your fingers (preening) and you respond with head scritches. Pleasant exchanged for pleasant. Oh the wonders of being owned by 50 grams of feathers!!
