I just sent off for a DNA kit for Whisper. Took me long enough to get around to it.lol. This will also settle a 50 dollar bet. I think Whisper is female and husband says male.

Well, good luck to whomever needs the 50 bucks more. ;)

Whisper has to be a mamma's girl! Keeping fingers crossed! I have the DNA kit too and debating weather I will fill it out of not... did you do the feather plucking or the blood test?

They definitely need new toys and a new pair of jeans to poop on!

I got feathers as this will be hard enough. Had to towel them today to check vents as they looked weird....Was not fun at all. I think Wing clips are in order now.

I can only imagine! that's why I'm considering the blood test by cutting a nail. Might not be as painful. the only problem is Blu is missing two toes. She is very sensitive about anyone touching them. I might wait a while before doing it. She is comming around so nicely, I woud hate to damage our new relationship.

I am worried I messed up my one with Baggy today. She had a fether stuck cross ways on her vent(old feather and from her wing) I removed it and she did not even want to sit on my arm anymore. But I want Whisper sexed for piece of mind. I lost my first lovebird to egg binding and do not wnat that again.

Hope it's a girl!

I'd be a little mad at my birds if they pulled out one of my hairs. But the anger wouldn't last long, and I doubt your birdy's will, either.

Hopefully...
