Tomorrow I'm going to stop by the large pet store and pick up a couple things, are there any suggestions on useful items to have for a new lovebird owner?

Also, sorry for all the posts, I've contracted lovebirditis and can't help it.

Hehe, I don't blame you. I think we ALL have lovebirditis.

I don't know what you have already, but I would suggest... at least one toy with a bell (not a jingle bell, one with a secure, strong clapper), maybe a "pedicure" or "cement" perch... it's actually a lot of fun to browse. It's sort of a guilty pleasure for me... :)

So, I got one of those nail perches, a packet of millet, a regular perch I'm going to modify so she can hang out outside the cage easier, and a birdbath that attaches to the side of the cage which I need to engineer a bit cause it doesn't fit naturally. Oh and a couple of wooden dowel/perches to try and train her to step up without biting.. she just runs from them, so I don't think she is quite ready.
