I have 2 peach faced love birds and i think it is time to let someone have them who is going to look after them well. They will be 4 years old in October. I live in the same room as them and I have been getting allergies over the past few years so I think it is time to find a good owner. Prefer to give them free to good owner than sell to anyone. They have a varied diet and have never had pellets, and i don't want to change that. They fly in the room a few times a week.

One is nice and is confident with me and goes on my hand, can't stroke it though. One is shy and a bit nasty and has a strong bite, often will lunge at you if you poke food, prefering your finger than the food. The nasty one has a two damaged toes but doesn't handicap it much but can wobble a bit and slightly slow climber than before, lost a bit of power in her voice. They mostly get on but the nice one gets bullied at times.

Would like to find someone asap, but they have to be right for the birds.

Thanks,

Darryl

Thanks,

Darryl

Not much interest on here then. Any ideas how I can find a good home for them please?

Hi Darryl, I'm sorry you've been developing allergies to your birdies! I understand that finding a good home is really important, not just to you, but your birds and all of us here. What part of the world are you from? Do you have any online classified websites? Do you have any friends who are bird-friendly, as per your definition? I think facebook and other personal social networking sites are a good place to start. Unfortunately many areas are flooded with homeless birds, so you might find it difficult to find a suitable home. Good luck!
