This morning, Milo sat on my shoulder, preening my hair, vibrating, and purring. He's never purred before! Sooooo cute! :) This must be a sign that I am forgiven for the wing clip and the vet visit last week.

Normally when my lovebird does prrr her wings are open and i do believe its a mating call. Is your bird female or male?

He's a DNA'd boy, for whatever that's worth. ;) My hen doesn't purr but she has been known to cluck occasionally.

Ditto usually "purrs" when he's snuggled up in my hand getting ready for a nap. Or when he's getting a particularly good head skritching.

OK, I want a sound clip of that "purr!" Oliver clicks and grinds his beak but I don't recall ever hearing a purr......I'm jealous! :D

I want a sound clip too. Maybe what I hear Molly, Daisy & Piper do is actually a purr and I don't get it. Hmmm...

Yeah, I'm jealous too. None of my birds purr. They just scream or 'cluck'.

I can't give you a sound clip, but if you read this out loud, you'll get the idea...
