For those of us in Southeast Florida, Dr. Irene Pepperberg (Alex the African Grey) will be speaking at a vet's office in Lake Worth, FL this weekend. She will be speaking about avian intelligence. The cost is $15 per person and the vet's office is about halfway between Ft. Lauderdale and West Palm Beach just off the Florida Turnpike. Dr. Pepperberg was at one of the NJ bird stores 2 weeks ago. I TOTALLY forgot to go :(
