We're finally moving this weekend after trying to make it happen for about 6 months :) . I guess i'm kinda nervous on how to move Lacey from this place to the next with the cold weather. With new surroundings i'm also nervous about her getting used to the new place. Do you have any suggestions on how to make this move go smoothly for her (and me lol)? thanks in advance :)

I'm sure MN is just as cold, if not colder than, the temperatures we're getting here in Toronto. I've actually thought about what to do if, God forbid, I have to take Max to the vet in this cold.
I think the first thing I would do is to heat up the car until it's toasty warm. I would wrap her travel cage in a blanket to take her quickly to the warm car.
When I had budgies years ago, I moved. At first, they were a little confused with the new surroundings but within a couple of days, they were jetting around the house no problem. I think the key is to give Lacey even more love and attention than you already do and she'll be just fine.
Good luck with the move and let us know how it goes :)

Thanks Maxie for the reply, that's kinda the tought I had so its reassuring to have someone say what I've been thinking :) Its going to be in the mid 20's this weekend so that's a bit warmer then it was last week. We were 35 below windchills lol

We're the same here and it doesn't want to let up! We just got another windchill warning for tonight and tomorrow...as if it can get any colder than what it already is!
